8 This Policy has been developed for members of Zion Christian Church in Botswana that wish to become Policyholders in order to have access to certain Benefits and Services. These Benefits and Services include Burial Benefits, Personal Accident Benefits, Thari ya Baruti Benefits and Road Side Assistance Services. Policyholders are also able to make a monthly contribution towards their Church’s expenses. You, as a Policyholder, now have access to these Benefits and Services through a Policy that is affordable and easy to understand. This Payment Book and the Annexure contained in the back of the Payment Book contains your Policy wording. This Policy wording is a summary of the Master Policy and Individual Policy terms and conditions as agreed upon between the Zion Christian Church in Botswana and Botswana Life Insurance Limited. As such, this Payment Book is a valuable document and should be kept in a safe place. Your Policyholder Application Form, Payment Book and Annexure form your insurance Contract. A Contract is when two people agree to do something together. The only way for you to understand your Contract is to read it carefully. We have used plain language so that the Contract is easy to understand. It is important that you understand the rules of your Policy. Please read them carefully. You can cancel this Policy if you do not want to have access to Benefits and Services anymore. You can do this by stopping payments at your Church at any time. You must remember that if you do not pay your monthly premiums and contributions, you will not be covered. Please, ensure that you make payment every month to stay protected. Always remember that Pukwana ya Kganya is voluntary and you alone have the choice to join or not. Your Church Branch Committee Members act in accordance with a strict mandate provided by Kganya Botswana. They are not allowed to force you to take out this Policy. They are not allowed to make your mind up for you. They are not allowed to offer you any advice. Only you can know whether you need the insurance or not and you must be certain that you can afford to take out this Policy and understand what you are paying for.
