23 7.6 Limitation of Liability No person shall have a Claim for a Burial Benefit except for: • a Beneficiary on the death of a Policyholder in Good Standing; • a Policyholder in Good Standing on the death of a Dependant who pre- deceases such Policyholder; • a Policyholder in Good Standing in respect of a Stillbirth of such Policyholder; and • a Beneficiary on the death of a Paid-up Dependant. BLIL shall only pay a single Burial Benefit on the death of an Assured Life regardless of the number of Claims made. The liability of BLIL shall be limited to the payment of a Burial Benefit. 7.7 Exclusions A Burial Benefit will not be payable in respect of: • miscarriages; • abortions; • any Claim submitted after 12 (twelve) months from the Date of Death; and • any Claim not supported by the prescribed documents as specified in the Annexure under the heading BURIAL BENEFITS CLAIMS REQUIREMENTS.
