27 9. THARI YA BARUTI BENEFITS 9.1 Benefits Additional Burial Benefits and additional Personal Accident Benefits (Thari ya Baruti Benefits) are underwritten by BLIL as a registered long-term Insurer. Thari ya Baruti Benefit amounts are set out in the Annexure under the heading THARI YA BARUTI BENEFITS. 9.2 Qualifications ZCC has made additional Burial Benefits and additional Personal Accident Benefits available to ZCC Botswana Committee Members. The following conditions apply to Thari ya Baruti Benefits: • They will only be paid if a Burial Benefit or Personal Accident Benefit Claim is accepted and paid in respect of the relevant Committee Member as Policyholder ie: • The additional Burial Benefit will only be payable in the event of the death of a Committee Member if a Burial Benefit is payable relating to such death in terms of the Policy. • The additional Personal Accident Benefit relating to the permanent injury of a Committee Member will only be payable if a Personal Accident Benefit is payable relating to such injury in terms of the Policy. • They are only made available to Committee Members who are officially registered and appear as such on Moria records. • The relevant Church Committee must be registered, constituted and function in accordance with ZCC constitution in all respects; • Will automatically cease if the Policyholder ceases to be a Committee Member for whatever reason. • Claims for Thari ya Baruti Benefits will only be paid by BLIL after receipt of a letter of confirmation of eligibility from Moria. • Will not be paid in respect of deceased Dependants.
